Major Responsibilities
- To provide quality control (QC) related services to big investment projectsfor the chemical and petrochemical industry before start of the equipmentfabrication in order to enable BTES to deliver the expected equipment qualityby auditing and assessing potential Chinese equipment vendors, supporting thepreparation and execution of technical clarification meetings with preselectedvendors, reviewing the purchase order (PO) concerning quality related issues,reviewing the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) issued by the vendor, andestablishing a quality management system according to the project requirements.
- To provide quality control (QC) related services to big investment projectsfor the chemical and petrochemical industry after start of the equipmentfabrication in order to enable BTES to deliver the expected equipment qualityby managing and performing inspections of the equipment during fabrication inthe workshops according to company or project specifications and standards,arranging the available manpower for supervision of equipment fabrication inthe workshops, coordinate all QC related work with other disciplines in theproject as well as with client representatives, preparing and issuinginspection reports as required by the project, and preparing and proposingsolutions for non-conformances discovered during inspections or after deliveryin cooperation with the QA Manager in charge of the project.
- To provide quality control (QC) related services to big investment projectsfor the chemical and petrochemical industry during site construction in orderto enable BTES to deliver the expected quality by coordinating the QC for thepiping fabrication on site, supervising the welding and the related NDT work,reviewing the performance of the welders, and preparing and issuing inspectionreports as required by the project.



Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Engineering
- Long-time experience with inspecting process equipment in manufacturingshops, or as internal quality assurance inspector
- Knowledge of welding processes and procedures for welding carbon steels,stainless steels, alloys, and other metals
- Knowledge of NDT techniques, related to inspection of pressure equipment andpiping, like UT, RT, PT, and VT
- Knowledge of local and international standards and codes (e.g. GB, AD, ASME,ASTM)
- Effective communication, organization and time management skills
- Good team player with good interpersonal skills, reliability, and highflexibility
- Fluent written & oral English
