This series specifies requirements for design, construction, inspection and testing of unfired pressure vessels made from steels and steel castings, cast iron and aluminium. The standards define terms, definitions and symbols applicable to unfired pressure vessels.

BS EN 13445-3 major changes
- the addition of an alternative to the 500 cycles rule for the fatigue analysis exemption
- the addition to 16.12 about calculation rules of support skirts for vertical vessels
- the addition of a new Clause 22 "Static analysis of tall vertical vessels on skirts
