Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM software for programming CNCmachine tools and a Cimatron company, announced that it has released the newestversion of GibbsCAM NC programming software, GibbsCAM 2014.
The GibbsCAM product family provides powerful, yet easy to use, programmingsupport for 2-through 5-axis milling, high speed machining, turning,mill/turning, multi-task machining, swiss, tombstone machining and wire-EDM CNCmachine tools.
An intuitive graphical user interface makes GibbsCAM easy to learn and veryefficient, maximizing user productivity. Integrated simulation allows processesto be visually verified and corrected before becoming costly mistakes out onthe shop floor.
Comprehensive manufacturing modeling capability for wireframe, surface andsolid geometry supports manipulation of part geometry for manufacturing. Whileoutputting machine-specific G-code, users have the choice of using GibbsCAM’stemplate-based post processor utility, or use one of GibbsCAM’swhat-you-see-is-what-you-machine factory supplied post processors.
GibbsCAM add-in for Autodesk Inventor software allows part models to betransferred directly to GibbsCAM from within the Inventor session.Associativity between geometry, process and toolpath allows easy updates toaccommodate incremental changes.
