SACS is an integrated suite of software that supports the analysis, design,fabrication, and installation of offshore structures, including oil, gas, andwind farm platforms and topsides. Its ability to dynamically iterate designsallows users to perform advanced analysis, comply with offshore designcriteria, and visualize complex results.
SACS provides offshore engineers with comprehensive analysis and designcapabilities that improve infrastructure operational safety and minimize riskand ensure compliance for a broad range of structures. It is proficient inspecialized analyses important to any offshore project, including: non-linearstructural analysis; dynamic response analysis due to wind, current, waves, andseismic loads; analysis for impact effects; and special high-end analysis forsevere accidental loadings such as dynamic blast, ship impact, and structuralcollapse. SACS can model tubular jacket structures, foundations, spars, andtopsides, as well as perform detailed fatigue life calculations.
In addition to its support for international offshore-specific design codes andchecks, the power of SACS is further enhanced by its 64-bit capability,multi-core processor speed, and ability to reuse data by seamlessly integratingwith other Bentley applications via ISM. For designers of offshore wind turbinestructure, SACS integrates with third-party software including GH Bladed andFAST.
