ANSYS, Inc.announced the availability of its leading engineering simulation solution,ANSYS 15.0, providing new, unique capabilities and enhancements that offer themost advanced approach to guide and optimize product designs.
ANSYS 15.0 delivers major advancements across the entire portfolio, includingstructures, fluids and electromagnetics. In addition, this enhanced versionenables complete multiphysics workflows for leading simulation practices.
Highlights for structures in this release include giving users greater insightinto simulating composites. Enhancements to the fluids portfolio features thecapability for studying turbomachinery flow paths with greater fidelity thanever, while in electromagnetics, ANSYS 15.0 offers the most comprehensiveelectric motor design process.
The release enhances ANSYS' industry-leading pre-processing capabilities,enabling users to quickly and accurately mesh the widest range of model sizeand complexity regardless of type of physics simulated. ANSYS 15.0 also buildson the company's global leadership in high-performance computing (HPC),speeding up already best-in-class performance by a factor of five.

This 15.0.3 release addresses a version 15.0 issue in which ANSYS LS-DYNAfailed with a stack overflow issue on the Windows operating system only (notLinux). This release fixes the issue by increasing the stack size used. Thereare no changes to the binary code, only the stack size limit which is specifiedwhen linking the object modules.

ANSYS Workbench is a flexible framework that supports the industry’s broadestsuite of engineering technology. It delivers unprecedented productivity withcapabilities for integrating native and third-party tools.
- ACT Extentions 15.0
