3.1.3 Use of Additional AIAs. Certificate Holders shall submit arequest to ASME for the use of an additional AIA.

(a) ASME may grant the use of anadditional AIA in lieu of the AIA of Record when

(1) the AIA of Record confirms it isunable to perform the required inspections, or

(2) the item will be supplied to asecond party, who is a valid ASME Certificate Holder, and the contract requiresthe use of the second party’s AIA of Record

(b) When additional AIAs performrequired inspections, the Certificate Holder’s quality management system shallinclude the following:

(1) how different AIAs will performactivities under the Certificate Holder’s quality management system

(2) evidence that the AIA performingthe field or shop activities, or both, has a contract or agreement

with theCertificate Holder

(3) evidence that this qualitymanagement system has been accepted by the AIA of Record

(c) All additional AIAs performing workother than the Certificate Holder’s AIA of Record during a 3-yr certification periodat a shop or field site may be required to be present during the CertificateHolder’s renewal and/or

make availablebound diaries.

(d) At the discretion of ASME, ASME ispermitted to audit the activities at a shop or field sites performed by theCertificate Holder and the additional AIA, at the expense of the CertificateHolder.

(e) The provisions for the use of anAIA other than the AIA of Record are not permitted for facilities operating undermass production provisions of the Code.

3.1.3其他AIAs的使用。证书持有人应向ASME提交使用额外AIA的请求。
(a) ASME在下列情况下可批准使用额外的AIA来代替AIA of Record
(1) AIA of Record确认其无法执行所要求的检查，或
(2)项目将提供给第二方，该方是有效的ASME证书持有人，合同要求使用第二方的AIA of Record
(b)当额外的AIAs进行所需的检查时，证书持有人的质量管理体系应包括以下内容:
(1)不同的aia将如何在证书持有人的质量管理体系下开展活动
(2)执行现场或商店活动，或两者，友邦保险有合同或协议的证据
与证书持有人
(3)证明本质量管理体系已被AIA of Record认可
(c)在3年认证期内，除证书持有人的AIA of Record外，所有在商店或现场进行工作的其他AIA可能被要求在证书持有人续期和/或期间在场
提供装订好的日记。
(d)在ASME的酌情决定下，ASME被允许审核证书持有人和额外AIA在商店或现场进行的活动，费用由证书持有人承担。
(e)对于根据守则的大规模生产条文运作的设施，不容许使用AIA of Record以外的AIA。
