HSE RR 1095 2017 Guidelines for Monitoring Service and Behaviour of Mooring Systems
This report provides guidelines for monitoring the service and behaviour of offshore mooring systems – the loadings a nd movements to which they are subjected by wind, waves, sea currents and sea levels. Monitoring is used to give confidence in the ongoing integrity and fitness of a mooring system. The report covers: the importance of identifying whether a monitoring campaign or installation of a permanent monitoring system is required; minimum requirements for different types of monitoring scenarios; options for monitoring methods; and data management.
